I went to school with Dean for about two years and wore a gold locket with a photograph of him in it all that time. (age 13) I was very shy and a bit of a geek in those days with glasses but Dean liked me and had a crush on me too! He called me Shirley Temple.....I went to another school soon after and Dean left for another school also. I remember a girl called Marina Zerdeff who wrote him love letters and would wait for him every day at the school gate! :-)
She even bought him a calculator! (Big Deal in 1979!)
Anyway, in the next 4 years I blossomed into better things even a state "Beauty Queen"! One day a young guy with long hair spotted me in town and shouted out "Leanne!" It was Dean! five years older, but still gorgeous and sweet. He was a lovely guy and I hope he is still around and ok?
I read above comments and many people ask if he is still acting and around? I would watch him in the school play and with his school sports, and I know he did the movie HORSEPLAY in 2003 but I have not heard about him ever since. He does indeed suffer from major depression and has had other major problems in his life too.
I hope no news is good news :-) love ya Deano xoxo

I met Dean Measor whilst he was shooting a pilot TV show just after 2003, he was a very cute guy!
I went to school with him many years before that and he actually remembered me! I hope he is still around? He could well be back in the UK doing theatre which he loved far more than TV or films, all though he was brilliant in the tropfest 2002 award winning film- I CAN'T GET STARTED" He has a daughter in England I think?

Dean Measor was just brilliant in "HORSEPLAY" as the love sick little jockey "JOE BYRNES".
He was also very funny in the award winning short film "I CAN'T GET STARTED" as the "LITTLE GUY".
He provided the "VOICE" of "Beauville" in the cult horror movie "BODYMELT" and in the Australian TV series "PIG'S BREAKFAST" voicing the character of "PLAAAG", he was a supporting cast member in 52 episodes (series one) of that TV show but is best known for his work in English Theatre.
Does any one know what has happened to this Actor? He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth? I have read that he suffered from depression since childhood? is he still acting?
He has not died as it would be posted on IMDB, if any one knows about the pint sized Actor I would be very gratefull indeed, as he is an underated talent!

Dean has been my friend for 16 years, we have worked together on stage and in Opera Australia's 1994 and 1995 Melbourne seasons. Shared many dreams, laughs, and dissapointments along the way. Dean has helped me with everything, I miss him dearly. hey deano when are we going to make that short film "journey"? ;-)

I know Dean and he is the nicest person you could ever meet. Totally underated in my opinion, especially in Australia, but Dean doesn't seem to care. He suffers from severe depression, and panic disorder, he has won two awards for Acting in England and was nominated for Best Actor for his role in the award winning tropfest film, I CAN'T GET STARTED. He can do many different accents and voices and he is the funniest person I have actually ever known. He is also a musician, songwriter, illustator and writer.
He has the most beautiful green eyes you can ever imagine, but the best thing about him is his heart and soul. Does anyone remember him in Neighbours?
p.s. check out the movie HORSEPLAY, Dean plays Joe Byrnes.
