Marc was born in Scotland but grew up in the north of England.The eldest son of the Jeff and Pauline Bolton he grew up at Burtree Hall, a rambling estate in the county of Cumbria. Marc's younger sister is a housewife and steam train enthusiast.Marc attended Appleby Grammar School a thousand year old institution for trainee English Gentlemen where he excelled in Rugby, Latin and various under-the-counter chocolate dealing activities. Marc is one of the school's best known old-boys after St. John Boste (martyred in the 13th century), Dick Whittington and George Washington's brothers, Augustine and John.Marc studied at Oxford and at City and received a BS in some dull but worthy business topic before joining Salomon Brothers on Wall Street in 1990. Over the next 14 years Marc worked for every big name in international finance in London, New York and a dozen other cities around the world.Marc is currently single and "interviewing".In 2002 Marc gave up the Porsche and the penthouse to take an MFA in Acting at the Academy of Arts in London. After graduating Marc produced a West-End of London musical.In late 2005 Marc moved to Los Angeles.Marc's interests include fast cars, travel, yoga, wine, sailing, cycling, contemporary art and the financial markets. He lives alone by the Pacific Ocean but is contemplating adopting a stretch of highway between Albequerque and Truth or Consequences in New Mexico.Marc has recently begun financing feature films.
